They might not be the ‘Fantastic Four’ from the famous movie, but these four Canadian teenagers are now being hailed as heroes for their bravery that saved a 15-year-old girl from being sexually assaulted.

It was a typical night at an impromptu skate park, and four teens, identified as Arnaud Nimenya, Carsyn Wright, James Hielema and Starlyn Rives-Perez, were skateboarding in an underground parking garage when they saw a teenage girl being dragged away violently by a man.

They were disturbed when they saw the man, who appeared to be intoxicated, pulling the young girl with force. Wright told a news outlet that the girl was screaming while the man pulled her violently.

He said:

“She was screaming and yelling. She just wanted to be out of there. She was all scuffed up and dirty.”

The resistance and yelling from the girl were enough to make the boys suspicious. So they bravely confronted the man and asked him why he was pulling the girl.

But the man responded everything was fine and insisted he was her father. The girl didn’t protest nor ask for help.

So, the boys had no choice but to let things slide, and they decided to leave the garage.

Wright added:

“You don’t want to really think of the worst in somebody like that. You don’t want that situation to be real, so you just brush it off and hope for the best.”

However, their guts still told them that something wasn’t right about the situation.

Unconvinced by the man’s answers, the boys turned back to talk to the man again. This is when they found him sexually assaulting the girl. They immediately sprang into action and saved her.

Nimenya said:

“You walk in, and you see something like that, and you freeze. You don’t know what to do.”

When the man saw them approaching, he panicked and tried to run off.

Nimenya explained:

“He was trying to walk out and walk away from us. He pushed me aggressively out of the way, kinda like just smiles at me, like, ‘I can do this. You can’t do anything about it.’”

But the boys ensured the man didn’t escape. So, while one stayed with the girl, the others chased after the man.

The man even tried to fight back, attaching the boys with skateboards, but authorities arrived and took him to custody.

The local police praised the boys for their heroic efforts and even decided to honor them with an award.

The boys were invited at Chief’s Awards Gala, where they were acknowledged for their exceptional bravery.

During the invitation to the event, they explained that when they were contacted by the police, they initially got worried.

One of them explained:

”We always thought we were going to be in trouble because we fought with him. When they called us, we didn’t wanna answer.”

When they were asked why they turned back to check the girl the second time, Wright said:

“You can’t just leave a girl, and she was a young girl.”

“She was 15 years old, and she needed help, and we needed to be there for her. I hope anybody else who’s in that situation would come to her help because it’s just the humane thing to do.”
