One of the great things we’ve learned from the internet is that, when you hear people talking of a trending Netflix show, chances are that it’s pretty good. And today, Dead To Me is the newest Netflix hit which everyone is watching.

Dead To Me is about a hotheaded widow who’s searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed her husband. The staring of the show is Christina Applegate together with Linda Cardellini.

Applegate in the shows is playing as the hotheaded real estate agent who her husband got mowed down.

When she attends a grief support group, Applegate meets Cardellini, playing as Judy. Judy is an eccentric and a free-spirited woman but with a shocking secret.

Judy had lost her fiancé Steve, a role played by James Marsden.

Joy and Jen become friends after sharing their sadness of losing their husbands, and their friendship blossoms day after the other. Jen searches for the driver who killed her husband.

The plot then takes a weird and dark turn, but still maintaining the humor, and everyone except Jen begins suspecting Judy isn’t the person she says she is.

Many weird scenes unfold in the course of the show. You can check out the trailer of “Dead To Me,” and you’ll be excited to watch the full show.

Although the synopsis of the film seems grip, there’s still some comedy in it.

This’s so because the show is directed by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, and most of the films they’ve produced are known to have many comedy scenes.  So, Dead To Me isn’t an exception.

Also, Applegate was staring in Anchorman movies. She starred as Veronica Corningstone. There’s even an Anchorman reference when a man, mustachioed, is commenting on the mahogany.

And when Applegate was asked by The Hollywood Reporter what motivated her back to the first TV role in seven years, she said:

“It literally took them like dragging me out of my semi-retirement, because I was very happy with my kind of not showering life and doing what I want, and just raising my daughter.”

“So, what was it? It was a lot of things.”

Applegate also added:

“It was really a unique premise and show, and I had known [creator and showrunner] Liz Feldman and really loved her as a human being.”

She continued:

“I feel like if I’m going to be doing anything, if you’re going to take me away from my kids for three months, it better be with an amazing group of people that are of quality and are kind, smart and interesting.”
