Dogs have been human’s best friends since the dawn of civilization. They’re considered the most loyal and loving beings you can ever find. In fact, most of us will opt to have a little puppy around us when we’re feeling lonely or when we need out “alone time.”

This is because a puppy will follow you everywhere you go and be your faithful companion in your long walks. He’ll listen to your sorrows when you’re sad and give you a warm hug when you need one.

Every now and then, we hear and read inspiring stories about dogs and see their pictures on the internet. But I bet you’ve never met an adorable pooch as Wiley, the Dalmatian puppy with a heart-shaped nose.

Wiley wears his heart on his sleeve. Well, precisely more like on his nose.

The now one-year-old pooch became famous all over the internet for his unique heart-shaped marking placed squarely on his face. And he has garnered over 120k Instagram followers who just can’t get enough of him.

Lexi Smith, 26 years old and Wiley’s human mother, describes her dog as, “54 pounds of goofy, clumsy, sassy, hungry, cuddly, curious, wild, crazy, silly, happy love,” and “no amount of pictures on could ever fully capture all that he is and all that he means to me, he’s my best friend.”

At first, Lexi wasn’t sure if the marking on Wiley’s nose was going to stick as he grew. But to everyone’s delight, this little Mr. Handsome still has his heart-shaped nose.

Of course, the unique mark makes everyone who meets Wiley fall in love with him in no time, because it’s the first thing everybody notices when they see him.

And for this friendly puppy, with loads of energy, that’s not a problem at all.

Lexi told The Dodo:

“Everyone notices the heart. Can’t take him anywhere without being mobbed, but he loves all the attention. He is cute, and he knows it!”

“He is a stubborn little sweetheart full of sass and constantly making me laugh. He is a cuddle bug when he wants to be, but when he is ready to play, you better be ready to, too.”

Aside from being friendly and cuddly, Wiley loves playing with other dogs, hiking and bothering his cat sibling. He’s also spoiled since Lexi can’t say no to such a cute face.

Lexi explained:

“I taught him ‘sit’ pretty early, so now whenever he wants anything, he just sits and expects to be rewarded with it.”

“He scoffs and grunts at you when you tell him no, but he doesn’t have to deal with that often since he’s so cute and usually gets his way.”
