Naya Rivera Used Last Of Her Energy To Save Her Son Say Police Anthony Larson Police unveil Naya Rivera’s tragic final moments—she used the last bit of strength to save her son. The Glee star, 33, was confirmed dead after rescuers found her body in Lake Piru, five days after she went missing. It has also emerged that one of the last things she did before dying was to make sure her son survived. Describing her final moments, Ventura County official, Sheriff Bill Ayub, said: “It would be speculation to say that there are [many] currents in the lake that appear particularly in the afternoon.”“We believe it was mid-afternoon when she disappeared. The idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting. It was unanchored.”“She mustered enough energy to get her son back on the boat but not enough energy to save herself.” Before the incident, Rivera and her four-year-old son Josey had rented a boat at the lake. Josey told rescuers he and his mother had gone for a swim. However, the boy said her mother didn’t get back into the boat. He explained that he saw his mother disappear under the surface of the water. Before Rivera went missing, she had also FaceTimed family members and sent a photo of her son to a relative. It helped in locating the son.
