Police identified the suspect in the brutal beating of a truck driver in Portland as Marquise Love, 25.

Portland Police Bureau is on the hunt for Love, who also goes by the name 'Keese Love,' for his involvement in the vicious assault that left a truck driver unconscious.

A series of clips on social media shows a group of men pulling the victim from his white Ford truck.

The group hit and then tackled the woman who accompanied the man, according to the Post.

The mob then disperse to watch another fight. However, one of the 'protester,' Love, returned and kicked the driver in the face, knocking him unconscious. The man's head also cracked on the pavement.

And when cops arrived, after an alert, they took the victim to the hospital.

Officials said they've made several attempts to arrest 25-year-old Love, but they have been unsuccessful.

Portland police Chief Chuck Lovell said in the statement:

"The Portland Police Bureau is taking this assault and other incidents of violence extremely seriously."

"Our Detectives continue to investigate this assault as well as other acts of violence directed toward protestors. But we need more than just videos from social media."

"To hold individuals responsible for criminal acts, we need the public to provide information and refrain from tampering with evidence."

Investigators are also looking for a transgender female who had items stolen where the incident started.

Officials haven't identified the woman yet, but they believe the driver was trying to assist her in finding her 'things.'

Investigators added they're hoping to speak with the woman to help in the investigation.

The victim of the assault has since been discharged from hospital and is now recovering at home.

After the attack, several media outlets identified Love as an employee of the Star Protection Agency.

But the company COO Bryan Kettler told Fox News they had briefly employed Love from January through March as an unarmed security guard.

Kettler said:

"We decry violence in all forms, and our hearts go out to [the victims]."

"We hope for their speedy recovery and will fully cooperate with any law enforcement investigation to ensure justice is done."

"Any use of Star Protection imaging or logos in connection with this individual is unfortunate."

As per Love's Facebook page, he was an 'armed security guard' at the Portland International Airport.

In one of his Facebook videos, Love sports a vest that reads 'SECURITY.' And in the videos of the assault, the clips capture him wearing a similar kind of vest.

As reported by The Post Millenial, Love had earlier been charged with fourth-degree assault and harassment in a 2017 domestic violence case in Oregon.
