Schoolgirl, 15, fighting for her life after neighbor’s two pit bulls ripped her scalp off.

While walking down her neighborhood of Winder, Georgia, two pit bulls jumped and viciously attacked Joslyn Stinchcomb.

One of the savage dogs had young Joslyn by the neck while the other biting her head in what police called an ‘unprovoked attack.’

The dogs then ripped off one of her ears, tore most of her scalp and crushed her trachea.

Meanwhile, a Sheriff’s deputy responding to a 911 call arrived on the scene, according to a police report.

At the time, the officer found Joslyn lying face down against a curb as one dog grabbed her neck. The other was biting her head.

As soon as the deputy walked out of his car, one of the dogs turned and rushed at him. The deputy then shot the dog, who ran off with a bullet wound.

The other dog released its grip on young Joslyn and also ran.

An air ambulance arrived at the scene and airlifted Joslyn to Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, in critical condition.

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith described the attack as horrific.

She said:

“She was coming around the cul-de-sac, and the dogs just attacked, no provocation at all.”

Joslyn’s aunt, Charity Stinchcomb Montgomery, took to Facebook to update her followers and friend on her niece’s tragedy.

She explained that Joslyn’s scalp was damaged to the point where she may never have natural-growing hair again.

She said:

“Those murderous dogs also grabbed her hair hard enough to pull her entire scalp off.”

“She only has a small portion of skin left on her head. At this moment, she does not have any hair left.”

“She will never have her hair again.”

“There may be implants and things that can be done, but it will be over a year before those discussions can even begin.”

Joslyn’s aunt also said the young girl suffered lacerations all over her face and body.

The teen also sustained nerve damage that ‘may affect her smile, blinking, and other facial expressions.’

She added:

“There is still so much that we don’t know about her injuries, but we know that God knows and that can heal her.”

Joslyn will most likely need years of extensive therapy, according to her family.

Following the incident, Deputies located both dogs at the residence of 29-year-old Alexandria Torregrossa and arrested her.

They charged her with ‘reckless conduct, two dogs running at large, and two counts of biting and attacking.’

Her dogs were transferred into the custody of Barrow County Animal Control, which euthanized them.
