Halloween is not just for kids these days. More and more people are holding parties at home, preferring to entertain their friends and family.

Following, are the top 10 alcohol based drinks to help any adult enjoy the continued traditions of Halloween while impressing their ghoulish guests.

Walker Blood Sangria


750 ml Wine (your choice)
2 cups Pomegranate Juice
1/4 cup Orange juice or Cointreau
2 cups Sparkling water
2 cups Ice


  1. Pour the wine in a pitcher, add the pomegranate juice and the Cointreau, stir well.
  2. Put the mixture in the fridge overnight.
  3. Remove the mixture from the fridge and add the sparkling water.
  4. Stir well and add ice.
  5. You can add pomegranate arils or some orange slices.

Black Magic


  • 2 ounces Black Vodka
  • 1 ounces Cherry Juice
  • 0.5 ounce Orange Juice
  • 0.5 ounce Maraschino Cherry Juice
  • Pinch Wilton Pearl Dust
  • Ice


In the bottom of a shaker add your black vodka, cherry juice, orange juice, maraschino cherry juice (liquid in cherry jar), and pearl dust. Add ice up to the fill line and using a bar spoon, stir your cocktail until chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve. Garnish with orange peel or maraschino cherries.

Black Willow Martini


  • 1 oz. Absolut Citron (or your favorite citrus vodka)
  • ½ oz. Cointreau
  • ½ oz. Chambord
  • ½ oz. Blue Curacao
  • ¼ oz. Cuervo Gold Tequila
  • 3 oz. sour mix
  • Fresh Raspberries (optional for garnish)


  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice, and shake until chilled.
  2. Strain into 8 oz. martini glass.
  3. Optional – drop in 2-3 fresh raspberries to garnish. For extra Halloween fun, add a plastic spider ring to the rim of the glass.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

Fireball Cider Jell-O shots


  • 1 1/2 ounces apple cider
  • 1/2 ounce Fireball whiskey
  • whipped cream
  • cinnamon stick


  1. Pour the apple cider into a shot glass.
  2. Add the Fireball whiskey.
  3. Top with some whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
  4. Serve up and CHEERS!

Blood Moon over Manhattan


  • 2 oz red wine
  • 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 large round ice sphere
  • 3 gourmet maraschino cherries


  • Shake all of the ingredients together with ice for 20 seconds.
  • Rub orange peel around the rim of the glass.
  • Add in the ice sphere and strain the cocktail over the ice.
  • Scoop one cherry to place inside the drink and add two more on a twig or cocktail stirrer to garnish the glass!

Shark Attack Jellos


(3.4-oz) package blue Jell-

light rum

gummy sharks

Red food coloring


  1. In a 2-cup liquid measuring cup, whisk together Jell-O mix, boiling water, and rum.
  2. Place a gummy shark in each of 12 plastic shot glasses. Place glasses on a baking sheet and fill with Jell-O mixture. Refrigerate 20 minutes.
  3. Add a drop of red food coloring to each glass and swirl with a toothpick. Refrigerate until completely firm, 40 minutes more.

Skeleton Sangria


4 cups ice cubes
Two bottles chilled dry red wine (Zinfandel, Merlot or Pinot Noir)
8 oz oz. pineapple nectar
8 oz. Cointreau
8 oz. sparkling water
2 oz. fresh lime juice
2 oranges, thinly sliced

Combine the wine, nectar, Cointreau, lime juice and fruit slices in a drink dispenser. Chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors marry. Just before serving, pour in sparkling water and add the ice cubes. Serves 10.

Evil Queens Punch


  • 2 L lemon-lime soda
  • 1 C green apple Kool-Aid® Mix

The same way you saw the Evil Queen mix her magic potion for Snow White’s apple, stir the lemon-lime soda and Kool-Aid mix together. Serve in a punch bowl with dry ice. 

The green apple flavor adds to the fun and reminds you this is the very punch that poisoned Snow’s White’s apple – of course minus the poison!

1 oz Orange rum (Cruzan)

1 oz Banana rum (Cruzan)

1 oz Coconut rum (Cruzan)

1 oz Pineapple rum 

1 1/2 oz Cranberry juice

1 1/2 oz Orange juice

1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice

1/2 oz Dark rum
